The Solar Technology Program offers certificates in both Solar Photovoltaic and Solar Thermal Technologies. The entry-level program will teach you everything you need to know as you begin your career in solar technology. After foundational solar theory discussions in the classroom, you'll quickly move on to applied instruction by installing the solar panels and solar hot water heater on the CR student-built house.

The goal of CR's multifaceted Early Childhood Education (ECE) program is to train dynamic, capable and qualified teachers to meet the changing needs of our community. Many students leave our program ready to join the workforce as licensed preschool teachers or day-care site directors, while others transfer to a university to continue training in this rewarding and rapidly changing field.

Kinesiology is the study of the movement of the human body, and includes courses in sports, fitness, human anatomy and physiology. Community college courses toward an AS-T in Kinesiology may include aquatics, combatives, team sports, individual sports, fitness and dance, as well as other relevant science courses.

You'll get hands-on, practical experience by building and installing all the cabinets in the CR student-built house and you'll graduate ready to join the workforce as an expert in your field.

The goal of CR's Residential Construction program is to get you to work. First year students will build a house – you'll pour the concrete, frame the floor, walls and roof, install the roof and wall sheathing, install exterior trim, and frame and install windows. Second year students will continue developing their carpentry skills while also gaining management experience overseeing the crew and adding skills such as construction layout and cost estimation.

Our Dental Assisting program will prepare you to take on the increasing sophistication of dental treatment, innovations in technology, and expanded duties of the Dental Assistant. Graduates of the two-semester program qualify to take the Dental Board of California examination for state licensure as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and the Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) examination offered through the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB).

A noncredit Certificate of Competency in mathematics. This sequence of noncredit basic mathematics courses serves as a pathway to credit-bearing mathematics courses by providing students with a foundation in arithmetic and pre-algebra. Completion of this certificate also benefits students in other programs or careers where knowledge of fundamental Mathematical concepts is essential for success.

A non-credit Certificate of Competency providing instruction in English language skills for personal or academic enrichment to non-native speakers of English at the intermediate level. This sequence of courses has two tracks. One track (Personal) is designed for personal enrichment and focuses on speaking, listening and pronunciation in English for students interested in advancing their communicative ability in the English-speaking world, but with no interest in taking credit-level classes. The other track (Academic) is designed for students with an interest in using English for academic purposes and/or pursuing credit courses. This track focuses on reading and writing in English to find information and share their point of view using this information.
